My Love Affair with Spray Paint

It's no secret around these parts that I have a little spray paint obsession.  I pretty much have a store of cans out in our garage...its a bit of a problem!  But once I discovered the beauty of it, I couldn't stop!  It changes the look of anything instantly, and its so easy and cheap!!  So I decided to do a little roundup of all the items in my house I've sprayed...well, not ALL...that would take too long:)

This mirror is one of the first things I tackled with spray paint.  This was actually a super ugly picture I found at Ross on clearance...I took it to the glass store and had them cut me a mirror (super inexpensive, like $12) and then sprayed it white.

These little mirrors were a Target purchase, but they were in black. Quick spray and they look totally different!

Yep, you can pretty much spray anything! Including these vases...

I recently found a super inexpensive chandelier (think $40), and sprayed it gold and added these little crystals to it.  It was originally oil rubbed bronze, but I was looking for a little more of a statement.  Super easy, and so much more affordable than buying lighting fixtures elsewhere.

This little guy came from the DI...I think like $2...and he got some spray too!

But by far, my biggest attempt at spraying, was this entertainment console.  It is actually the bottom piece of a china hutch that was a dark brown color.  Its super heavy and a great quality, but I was trying to get rid of the dark and lighten things up, so with the help of the hubby, we sprayed this thing!  So much faster than brush painting...however, I will say, if you tackle larger pieces of furniture like this, be sure to sand and prime first.  Spray prime that is!

And this little guy is going to be my next spray victim!  I actually do love the color, but it just doesn't go with the colors I have...I already have a lot going on...so I was thinking maybe a yellow??

Looks great, Lis! I love it! So could I even spray paint that cute wicker mirror that you love in my entryway? :)

Show us a step by step of how you spray paint your decorations! Hopefully I'm not the only spray paint dummy out there.

I'm a new reader to your blog and love your taste in fashion and decor. I was wondering where you got the picture that has the "One Way" traffic sign and the Temple is the background? I love it!
